Come play in the dirt like when you were a kid…

Thinking of experiencing one of the fastest growing recreational sports, look no further than Elliot Lake. Elliot Lake is the first in a series of planned signature ATV sites to be located in communities across Ontario.

The area trail system offers riders the option of half-day rides to multi day touring on over 300 km (180) miles of looped trails connecting back to the community. The looped trail system is designed so that you are never further than 30 km (18 miles) of the City.

The area welcomes riders and allows ATVers to ride their vehicles to and from the community for gas, food and to the door accommodations.

Exploring the Northern Ontario backwoods on the seat of an ATV

is experiencing the area outdoors the way it should be seen. While riding is fantastic, the real adventure begins when you add in the amazing view of the area’s rugged and majestic Boreal Forest. The Elliot Lake area offers fabulous riding and scenery for Atvers and is truly an undiscovered gem. Trails feature mountainous terrain, scenic views, old growth forest, pristine fishing lakes, rivers, fresh water streams, beaches and breathtaking lookouts.

Our trails offer a wide diversity of terrain and experience levels guaranteed to make an unforgettable ATV experience. The trails vary from easy (bush roads) to advanced (two track trails with steep, rough and narrow sections). Depending on the riding season, trail conditions can change drastically such as during spring run off or after heavy thunderstorms.

Great GPS trail maps designating approved routes surrounding the city are available when buying a trail-riding permit. Trail Passes are available from local hotels, lodges, dealerships or the Elliot Lake Welcome Centre. If required, experienced guides can lead you on your adventure. We encourage you to spend your time pursuing your interest; ride, hike, fish from shore, watch wildlife or simply relax. Just pack your personal gear and come visit the Northern Ontario’s best-kept secret. Bring your camera, you’ll want to capture these memories for a lifetime.
