In addition to rifle and shotgun seasons from big game, special for big game, special regulations in some Wildlife Management Units provide for hunting with bows and muzzleloaders. Many of the area hunting lands are road accessible or public property. You can plan your own excursion or use the services of experienced outfitters. Whichever game you choose, the area’s scenic beauty and bountiful wildlife will turn your hunting dreams into memories.
If you plan a hunting excursion in our area, please ensure you posses a valid Outdoor Card and refer to the province’s hunting regulations and federal legislation that affects firearms and firearm owners. Water fowlers should also consult the Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Regulations. The Elliot Lake area borders areas 37 and 38.
The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources publishes hunting regulations for residents and non-residents in the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary, which included WMU maps.
